Barbara B. Wagner

Barbara B. Wagner, of counsel with the firm, and a partner of Wagenheim & Wagner, P.A., focuses her practice on sports law litigation, workers’ compensation and appellate matters. She is Board Certified by The Florida Bar in Workers’ Compensation (since 1993) and Appellate Practice (1996-2016).

Ms. Wagner has received Martindale-Hubbell’s top “AV” rating for her high professional and ethical standards. She graduated cum laude from Bucknell University, in Lewisburg, PA, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and graduated summa cum laude, first in her class, from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Ms. Wagner is admitted to the Florida Bar (1982) and is licensed to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

Her professional affiliations include serving as a member of the National Football League Players’ Association and Professional Hockey Players’ Association panels of sports law litigation and workers’ compensation attorneys. She is a former member of the board of directors and chair of the Amicus Committee of Florida Workers’ Advocates. She is on the board of the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Broward County Bar Association and is a member is the Broward County Women Lawyers’ Association. Ms. Wagner is a member of the Statewide Nominating Commission for Judges of Compensation Claims. She has given presentations regarding sports law and workers’ compensation and appellate practice at conferences and seminars sponsored by the Florida Bar, Broward County Bar Association, Florida Workers’ Advocates, and the Sports Lawyers’ Association.

Her community involvement includes serving as Secretary of the Board of Directors, on the Development Committee, and as a volunteer at the PACE Center for Girls in Broward County. She is a Reading Pal with United Way of Broward County and has volunteered as a mentor with Take Stock in Children.
