On June 29, at 7 p.m., Eugene K. Pettis, and a panel of other African-American legal giants from in and around the South Florida area, will be participating in a community forum discussing the importance of jury duty and how jurors perform a vital role in the criminal justice system. The event is sponsored by the Judicial Council of the National Bar Association, and hosted by the New Mount Olive Baptist Church, in conjunction with the Broward County Bar Association, the Hawkins-Latimer Chapter of NBA and its Judicial Council, and the T.J. Reddick Bar Association.
