James S. Haliczer is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Haliczer Pettis & Schwamm, residing in the Fort Lauderdale office. For more than 30 years, Jim has built a reputation for litigation excellence, serving as trial counsel in a broad range of cases, including medical and legal malpractice, personal injury, wrongful death and commercial disputes. He also has the unique perspective of having successfully represented his clients on both the defense and plaintiff side, affording him an unparalleled level of credibility amongst his peers.

Jim currently concentrates his practice on representing his clients in complex medical malpractice, personal injury and wrongful death matters. A frequent lecturer, he has been asked to present throughout the United States on issues such as legal and medical malpractice, general insurance law and risk management/quality assurance programs.

Jim is admitted to practice in Florida and Colorado.

Jim and his wife have been residents of Fort Lauderdale since 1987. They have one son, a writer, who also lives in Fort Lauderdale.
